Take a look for yourself, it really just boils down to personal preference:
I was surprised to learn that white potatoes are loaded with vitamins, minerals and are a decent source of protein. As someone who has to be mindful of my iron levels, I appreciate that the white potato is a good source of vitamin C and iron.
For me personally, white potatoes are better simply because I like them more than sweet potatoes and because they are extremely versatile.
